Sitting here, legs up, coughing hope.
\nAt times I rub my belly, as silently, with thoughts
\nI talk to the child I\u2019m bearing.
\nEverywhere I look there is a happy kid,
\nNot mine; mine is not yet happy;
\nmine is not yet mine.<\/p>\n
I reach to the Saints, to the Lord, and the Virgin Mary.
\nPromises are made in exchange for a life saved.
\nNothing is worst than impatience
\nand the agony of the wait.<\/p>\n
The unknown eats away every waking hour
\npaving the way to anxiety.
\nObviously, we want no pain in our souls;
\nNo heartbreak is best, no tears, no lost hope.<\/p>\n
I doubt there is a woman out there
\nmore ready than me.
\nI want this baby with a passion
\nand am not giving hope just yet.<\/p>\n
With one sentence
\nI will be blessed with life again.
\nWith one phone call I may smile sincerely.
\nDuring the eternal linger,
\ntorturing seconds become a time for prayer.<\/p>\n
A candle has been burning for days
\nAnd at points, it\u2019s the only light I see.
