El Largo Adiós, el sonido del pecado parte II

Habiendo Robert Rodríguez tomado la decisión de buscar un compositor para cada una de las 3 historias principales que conformarían el arco narrativo de Sin City, determinó que el sería uno de los compositores de una de esas historias (That Yellow Bastard).
Los otros 2 compositores serían Graeme Revell y John Debney para The Hard GoodBye y The Big Fat Kill respectivamente.
Graeme Ravell tiene tiempo en esto de hacer música de cine, y mucho más tiempo si le sumamos los años de SPK, Ravell si bien no tiene una legión de fanaticos como John Williams, James Horner, Hans Zimmer o Danny Elfman, ni mucho menos el reconocimiento de estos, si cuenta con varios trabajitos que son de destacar.
Entre mis favoritos están: the Crow, Bride of Chucky, Dead Calm y the Saint; que son los que he podido escuchar detenidamente.
Ravell ha definido su “estilo” al mezclar sonidos tribales, con loops, percusión electrónica y orquestaciones tradicionales, inclusive tiene un disco donde todas las pistas están hechas con ¡sonidos de insectos!.
Su enfoque de lo que debería ser la música para la historia de Marv no se alejan en mucho de lo que es su fórmula, su firma.
Un saxofón barítono que constantemente repite el tema de “descenso” que compuso Robert Rodríguez, un bajo electrónico que introduce el leitmotiv de Marv y una soprano que canta (¿o se lamenta?).
